Schedule: Full Time, PRN, 12 Hour Shifts

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
  • Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature.
  • Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
  • Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, including memory care techniques and behavioral health support.
  • Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheter care and wound management to prevent infection.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in diverse environments such as hospitals (including ICU, trauma centers, PICU), long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospice settings, and outpatient clinics.
  • Assist with medical procedures like phlebotomy or basic life support when required; operate medical equipment safely and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold the highest standards of patient service and confidentiality.
  • Support patients with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs by providing compassionate caregiving tailored to individual requirements.
  • Document patient information accurately in medical records and ensure seamless communication across care teams.
Experience
  • Proven experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant in settings such as hospitals (including Level I & II trauma centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care environments.
  • Critical care experience in ICU or emergency medicine is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for documentation purposes.
  • Experience with specialized populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health patients, or those requiring memory or dementia care.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, aseptic techniques, and infection control practices.
  • Prior exposure to post-acute or sub-acute care settings is advantageous.
