About the Role
The Company is seeking a Sr./Executive Medical Director to serve as the clinical lead in the design, implementation, and scientific oversight of clinical development programs in immunology and inflammation. This role is pivotal, combining scientific leadership with hands-on study execution within a small, agile development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of clinical study protocols, particularly early-phase, proof-of-concept studies, and will coordinate the development of protocol and study design documents with input from cross-functional stakeholders. Ongoing data review, including the interpretation of clinical safety and efficacy data, and the identification of emerging signals to inform study recommendations and program insights, are also key aspects of the position. The role requires a high level of collaboration with internal and external stakeholders and the ability to influence cross-functional teams through clear communication, scientific credibility, and emotional intelligence. Applicants for this role at the company should have an advanced degree in medicine, life sciences, or a related discipline, with a minimum of 5 years' clinical development or clinical science experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Experience in early clinical development, particularly in the therapeutic areas of immunology and inflammation, is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead or contribute to clinical trial design, be familiar with clinical data review systems, and possess a combination of detail-oriented execution and strategic thinking. The role demands a professional who is comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-moving development environment and is willing to work flexible hours to support global collaborations.
