Job Summary Join our team as a remote Billing Specialist, where your expertise in ABA therapy billing and coding will ensure the smooth operation of our revenue cycle. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and familiarity with medical billing systems will play a critical role in maintaining accuracy and compliance across our billing processes. Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of billing, accounts receivable, and related financial processes for ABA therapy services.
Oversee charge capture, coding, claims submission, and ensure accurate billing edits in alignment with compliance guidelines.
Collaborate with providers and Regional Medical Directors to optimize billing workflows and automated processes.
Analyze trends in charges, billing, and collections to identify and implement process improvements.
Submit accurate and complete claims to appropriate insurance entities and proactively resolve denials and discrepancies.
Monitor reimbursements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer contracts, federal/state regulations, and company policies.
Assist with staff communications, month-end reports, work allocation, and problem resolution in a fully remote setting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of billing and coding experience, specifically in ABA therapy.
Proficiency with practice management/EMR systems, ideally Central Reach and Waystar.
Extensive knowledge of medical billing, coding, local payers, and claims resolution; pediatric billing experience is a plus.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; able to explain complex billing information clearly.
Detail-oriented, able to work independently and accurately in a remote environment.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual fluency is a plus.
Experience with pediatric ABA therapy billing.
Passion for revenue cycle management and a positive, team-oriented mindset.
