$30.00 – $32.00 per hour
Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented
Payroll Administrator
to join our team for a temporary maternity leave coverage. This role is critical in supporting internal payroll operations for a diverse employee base of approximately 2,400 individuals across U.S. Wholesale, U.S. Retail, and Canada.
Operating in a fully remote capacity, you will work closely with a managed payroll provider ( UKG ) to handle essential back-end processes, audit data, and ensure seamless pay cycles.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing:
Gather and compile payroll payment data into workbooks for submission to UKG Managed Payroll. Perform payroll balancing by cross-checking entries and auditing data prior to the final commit.
Reporting & Analytics:
Assist with the development, auditing, and maintenance of accrual and operational reports. Prepare and distribute standard weekly and monthly reports to the Operations and Finance teams.
Timekeeping Management:
Support managers with timecard edits, approve PTO requests, and respond to general employee inquiries regarding timekeeping and payroll.
Support & Compliance:
Assist the U.S. Payroll team with standard activities and serve as a backup for Canadian payroll operations.
Special Projects:
Participate in ad-hoc payroll-related projects and system enhancements as needed.
Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of professional payroll experience.
Technical Mastery:
Must have hands‑on experience with UKG Pro, specifically within
Workforce Management (WFM) , including timecards and accrual management.
Software Skills:
Strong proficiency in
Excel
(vlookups, pivot tables) is required for data manipulation and workbook management.
Reporting:
Strong
Business Intelligence (BI)
experience, particularly in report writing, is highly preferred.
Communication:
Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional partners in Finance and Operations while working independently in a remote environment.
Equipment:
A company‑provided laptop and necessary IT equipment will be provided.
Schedule:
Standard business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time).
