ROLE OVERVIEW BELAY Assistants provide high‑quality operational support that helps clients work more efficiently, stay organized, and focus on the work only they can do. You’ll bring structure to calendars, inboxes, workflows, documents, and communication rhythms, while also offering practical suggestions that make day‑to‑day operations smoother. This role requires professionalism, initiative, and a genuine drive to help others succeed. Our Executive Assistants consistently demonstrate maturity, strong communication, and the ability to anticipate needs and improve processes in simple, meaningful ways. You’ll also help clients understand how to partner effectively with an Assistant by guiding them through tools, workflows, and best practices that strengthen the working relationship.
LOCATION Remote. We are currently accepting applications for U.S.-based contractors except in CA, CO, MT, NJ, NY, and PA.
STATUS 1099 Contractor | Flexible Remote Role
PAY RANGE Compensation for this role begins at $20‑23 per hour, depending on experience and skill set. As you grow with BELAY and demonstrate strong performance, you may have opportunities to increase your earnings through additional client engagements. Contractors are paid monthly based on contracted hours, and BELAY does not guarantee hours or client assignments.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Operational Excellence
Manage calendars, scheduling, and appointment coordination
Organize inboxes and support email follow‑through
Prepare, edit, and maintain documents, presentations, and spreadsheets
Coordinate meeting logistics, travel arrangements, and events
Maintain accurate data and records within CRMs and digital tools
Create and refine workflows, checklists, and systems that improve efficiency
Support recurring operational tasks and small projects with consistency
Client Support and Collaboration
Anticipate routine needs and remove small friction points proactively
Communicate clearly and professionally in ways that reflect each client’s brand
Provide dependable follow‑through and consistent updates
Educate clients on effective Assistant‑client workflows and simple operational best practices
Recommend tools, organization methods, or time‑saving adjustments when appropriate
Tech‑Enabled Productivity
Use Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, project management tools, and CRMs confidently
Apply AI thoughtfully to increase efficiency, clarity, and speed without losing the human touch
Suggest simple automations, tools, or processes that help clients stay organized

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
1–3+ years of administrative or operational support experience
Availability during standard business hours, Monday–Friday
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail with reliable follow‑through
Comfortable using modern digital tools, CRMs, and workflow platforms
Reliable computer (8GB RAM or more), high‑speed internet, and a quiet home workspace
Ability to participate in video calls regularly
Preference for contractors who can commit to at least 12 months of service for continuity
