About the Opportunity We are partnering with a high-growth B2B SaaS company entering a major financial transformation phase as the CEO prepares the business for private equity investment or strategic exit.
This is not a maintenance accounting role.
This is a build-and-scale opportunity where you will lead the transition from cash-basis reporting to full U.S. GAAP compliance, design institutional-grade accounting processes, and establish the financial infrastructure required for diligence and valuation growth.
You will work directly with the CEO and external advisors to professionalize accounting operations and position the company for its next chapter.
What You’ll Own
Lead conversion from cash-basis to GAAP accounting
Own revenue recognition under ASC 606
Build and maintain ARR/MRR reporting, deferred revenue schedules, and SaaS KPIs
Establish internal controls and audit-ready processes
Oversee month-end and year-end close
Prepare financial reporting packages for leadership and potential investors
Modernize and optimize QuickBooks Online
Partner with external CPA and transaction advisors during diligence preparation
Improve forecasting inputs and reporting visibility
Support multi-entity and recurring + non-recurring revenue modeling
What We’re Looking For
6+ years of accounting experience, ideally within SaaS or subscription-based businesses
Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge (ASC 606 required; ASC 842 a plus)
Experience leading accounting clean-up, ERP transitions, or system implementations
Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks Online (NetSuite a plus)
Ability to operate independently in a lean, high‑ownership environment
CPA strongly preferred
What Makes This Role Unique
Direct exposure to CEO and transaction strategy
High visibility and strategic impact
Opportunity to architect scalable financial systems from the ground up
PE‑readiness and exit experience
Compensation & Structure
Remote (EST hours)
Occasional travel may be required during initial onboarding phase
Full benefits package
If you are energized by building clean financial systems, improving processes, and having real strategic influence during a company’s growth and exit preparation, apply here.
