Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review engineering documents related to:
Pipe supports
Building structural modifications
Rigging and load evaluations
Perform structural analysis using established nuclear industry codes and standards
Conduct piping analysis in accordance with ASME B31.1 (preferred)
Apply AISC Allowable Stress Design (ASD) methodology for steel structures
Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to meet project timelines and quality requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Structural, Mechanical, or related discipline)
5–10 years of experience as a Structural Engineer in the commercial nuclear industry
Strong knowledge of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Quality Assurance requirements
Proficiency in MathCAD Prime and GT STRUDL
Experience with legacy nuclear design codes and documentation practices
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience performing piping analysis per ASME B31.1
Prior experience supporting operating nuclear power plants
Familiarity with nuclear plant modification projects and balance‑of‑plant systems
