The Opportunity We’re hiring a Senior Manager Controller to own the financial backbone of our organization. This role is a unique opportunity to manage core accounting operations while also playing a strategic role in financial planning and process improvement. You’ll partner directly with the COO, helping to shape our growth through sound financial stewardship and efficient systems management.
What You’ll Do
Manage all day-to-day accounting functions, including AP, AR, payroll (via Extensis), general ledger, and month-end close
Process bi-weekly invoices (7–12 per cycle), including through Ariba for enterprise clients
Run payroll for approximately 60–70 W2 employees and 10–15 1099 contractors
Prepare monthly financial statements, track cash flow, and support budgeting and forecasting
Collaborate with the COO to develop financial models and inform strategic decisions
Lead accounting process improvements and automation within QuickBooks and integrated systems
Partner with external CPA for audits, tax filings, and compliance needs
Uphold strong internal controls and cost-management practices
What You Bring
7–10+ years of experience in accounting/finance, ideally within staffing, consulting, or professional services
Expertise in QuickBooks, payroll/PEO systems (e.g., Extensis), and Ariba invoicing
Exceptional attention to detail and a hands‑on approach to solving problems
Strong communication and project management skills — you know how to own the numbers and tell the financial story
Bonus: Familiarity with process automation tools or dashboarding/BI platforms
