Overview Business Development Manager (SB827) USA – Fully Remote
Salary: USD140000 - USD160000 per annum + Bonuses, Commission, Benefits, Remote
A provider of distributed energy solutions specialising in gas engine power generation and Combined Heat & Power (CHP) systems. The business delivers efficient, sustainable energy solutions to industrial and commercial customers. With a strong reputation for technical expertise and customer-focused delivery, the organisation partners with clients to design tailored energy solutions that improve performance, reduce costs, and support decarbonisation. The US division is growing, offering an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding team.
Responsibilities
Generate new sales opportunities through research, networking, and industry engagement
Develop and manage a strong proposals pipeline to meet and exceed sales targets
Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted technical and commercial advisor
Prepare and manage technical, commercial, and financial proposals
Collaborate with engineering, commercial, and project teams to develop competitive solutions
Conduct site visits to assess feasibility and support solution design
Provide market, competitor, and regulatory insights to support strategy
Support tendering, supplier coordination, and risk evaluation
Represent the business at industry events and conferences
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
Strong understanding of mechanical and/or electrical engineering principles
Proven experience in technical sales within energy or industrial sectors
Knowledge of CHP, distributed generation, or gas engines (desirable)
Experience managing complex sales cycles and technical proposals
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
Understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
