Business Development Manager
to expand our footprint within the U.S. pharmaceutical and biologics CDMO landscape—specifically in the rapidly growing antibody drug market.
In this high‑impact, entrepreneurial role, you will lead new business development efforts, build strategic relationships with R&D and procurement leaders, and champion our specialized ingredient portfolio—particularly saccharides—supporting biologics API manufacturing projects. You’ll serve as a key bridge between U.S. customers and our global colleagues in Japan, helping drive collaboration, innovation, and commercial success.
What You’ll Do
Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with U.S.-based pharmaceutical companies and biologics CDMOs
Build strong relationships with bioprocess R&D leaders, sourcing professionals, and decision‑makers
Position and promote our saccharide and ingredient capabilities for biologics API manufacturing
Lead and coordinate technical discussions between customers and internal scientific teams
Drive project momentum—tracking progress, resolving challenges, and ensuring forward movement
Support cross‑cultural collaboration by facilitating communication between U.S. clients and Japan‑based colleagues
Represent the company at industry meetings, customer sites, and relevant scientific forums
What Makes You a Strong Fit
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Business, or a related field
5+ years of business development or sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry (10+ preferred)
Demonstrated success in pharmaceutical excipients, biologics APIs, or the antibody drug market
Established industry network within antibody drug manufacturers, CDMOs, researchers, and industry associations
Strong understanding of biologics development and manufacturing processes
Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to open doors and create new opportunities
Confident communicator who can translate technical capabilities into compelling business value
Skilled presenter comfortable engaging both scientific and commercial audiences

Travel Requirements Domestic and international travel will be required based on business needs. A valid driver’s license and passport are required.
