Carnegie Mellon University Africa (CMU-Africa) is seeking passionate and experienced adjunct instructors to teach graduate-level courses during the
Fall 2025 semester
(starting August 25, 2025) at our campus in
Kigali, Rwanda . These are in-person teaching roles with the possibility of renewal for the
Spring 2026 semester , depending on course availability and mutual interest.
We are looking for individuals with previous teaching experience and/or relevant industry expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Software Engineering
Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence
Cybersecurity
Cloud Computing
IT Entrepreneurship

Qualifications
Ph.D in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or closely related fields is preferred, or equivalent.
Combination of advanced degree in the listed fields with strong teaching background, relevant industry experience and/or tech entrepreneurship, and other related qualifications.
The ideal candidate will bring a commitment to delivering a high-quality learning experience to our exceptional students.
