Business Development Manager Springbig is the leading SaaS marketing technology platform serving retailers and brands in highly regulated industries throughout the U.S. and Canada. We’re looking for a highly motivated and strategic Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our growing Sales team and help expand Springbig’s footprint across regulated markets. This role is responsible for identifying, prospecting, and closing new business within a defined territory, while delivering tailored solutions that highlight the value of our SaaS platform.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify and build relationships with decision‑makers at retail operators and producers in regulated industries through outbound prospecting, inbound leads, and networking.
Deliver tailored presentations and demos that clearly communicate Springbig’s value proposition and competitive advantage.
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, including contract negotiation and internal approvals.
Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records in CRM for all activities and accounts.
Develop strategic account plans and territory penetration strategies aligned with business goals.
Forecast sales results and provide insights on deal status, trends, and competitive intelligence.
Consistently meet or exceed defined KPIs including meetings booked, opportunities generated, and closed revenue.
Actively contribute to the evolution of Springbig’s go‑to‑market strategy by sharing insights from the field.
Represent the Springbig brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and integrity at all times.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 5 years of business experience, with 2–3 years in a quota‑carrying SaaS sales role.
Proven success building and managing a high‑volume sales pipeline and closing new business.
Strong consultative selling and value‑based sales skills; experience selling to SMBs or mid‑market preferred.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Comfortable navigating CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and using modern sales tools for prospecting and outreach.
Fluent in social selling and digital prospecting methods (e.g., LinkedIn, video messaging, sales automation platforms).
Highly self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote or hybrid environment.
