Tutor.com is hiring Online Elementary Math High Dosage Tutors for scheduled small group tutoring sessions with K12 students in a remote environment. This position occurs throughout the day, from early mornings to after-school evening hours. Ideal candidates are math teachers, substitute teachers, tutors, or anyone with elementary school mathematics expertise seeking a flexible work-from-home role. Tutors will use standards-aligned curriculum to support student learning. The online classroom enables tutoring from any computer with a stable, high-speed internet connection with no lesson planning or travel required. Tutoring sessions utilize tools such as an interactive whiteboard, voice, video, chat, and application sharing. Major Responsibilities
Tutor small groups of students in a remote environment. Meet regularly with the same group of students, up to three times per week. Engage students using online tools such as an interactive whiteboard, voice, video, and chat communication. Utilize student assessment data to determine gaps in knowledge. Collaborate with teachers to align tutoring sessions with class curriculum. Provide quality reports to Tutor.com staff, teachers, and school administrators on student achievement. Interact with Instructional Specialists to improve pedagogical methods and quality communication.
Requirements
Currently reside and eligible to work in the U.S. Available for around ten tutoring hours per week; schedules may vary semester to semester. Participate in training and professional development to understand and apply the methodology of high-dosage tutoring. Capable of adjusting approach as necessary to ensure student engagement and understanding. Demonstrate competence in elementary school-level mathematics. Possess strong communication skills with fluency in English. Demonstrate professional standards of conduct and communication. Earned a four-year degree (or higher) from an accredited university.
The Princeton Review and Tutor.com offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and skills.
Pay Range:
US Pay Range $22 USD per hour. The company does not provide benefits for this position.
Work Location and Eligibility
The position is remote and can be performed anywhere in the United States except in the following states: Arkansas, Hawaii, Idaho, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota and Wyoming.
