Systems Software Engineer (C++/Rust)
Type:
Hourly Contract
Compensation:
$65–$110/hour (base rate), with median average pay of $200/hour inclusive of bonuses

Remote
Duration:
1 month
Commitment:
Part‑time, 15–20 hours per week, fully remote and asynchronous
Role Responsibilities
(Training support will be provided)
Develop and validate coding benchmarks in C++ or Rust with emphasis on object‑oriented design principles
Curate tasks, solutions, and test suites from real‑world systems code repositories
Ensure benchmarks include robust unit and integration tests for accurate solution verification
Debug, optimize, and document benchmark code to ensure reliability and reproducibility
Provide structured feedback on solution clarity and adherence to systems engineering best practices
Ideal Qualifications
Strong experience as a systems engineer at a top‑tier tech company or U.S. national lab
Strong proficiency in C++ and/or Rust programming languages
Experience with debugging, testing, and validating low‑level or performance‑critical applications
Excellent attention to detail and ability to clearly communicate technical reasoning
