The anticipated hourly range for this position is $22-$23 an hour.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Answer inbound pharmacy customer calls. Make outbound calls to patients, healthcare providers, referrals, and insurance carriers. Resolve customer issues including billing and insurance denials with insurance carriers. Establish and maintain patient profiles including lists of medications, insurance, billing, and provider information. Process orders using Enterprise Rx; gather patient demographics and billing information to complete requested orders and to obtain prior authorizations. Assist pharmacists on an as-needed basis; maintaining inventory, stocking pharmacy, preparing and dispensing medication.
SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS Performs additional duties as directed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High School Diploma
Resident State Pharmacy Technician License
1-2 years pharmacy technician experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to answer high-volume inbound calls via an automated phone system
Ability to make outbound calls to customers and referrals as necessary
Basic knowledge of insurance, pharmacy authorization, and billing
Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented
Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
Spanish speaking a plus
