As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.
What You’ll Do
Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform—no commuting required.
Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
Be matched with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise.
Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features.
Invoice for tutoring sessions; we handle payments and related logistics.
Compensation and Schedule
Base contract rates start at $18/hour and may increase for specialized subjects; pay can rise with continued work with the same student (up to $40/hour).
Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.
What We Look For In a Tutor
Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
Expertise in Elementary Mathematics with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
Experience in tutoring or teaching and graduate-level education are a plus.
