Content Operator - Notebook Brands Company:
Stealth Startup / in association with seonotebook.com, ainotebook.com, notebook.agency and seoirl.com
Location:
Remote (Toronto preferred, EST hours required)
Type:
30 hours per week.
Reports to:
Steve Toth, Founder
Compensation:
$30/hr base (30 hrs/week) + concrete performance bonuses tied to measurable outcomes: subscriber growth, SaaS signups, coaching cohort sales, and event ticket sales. Bonuses are structured so that a strong operator who hits targets will earn significantly above the base.
Top-end quarterly bonuses can add 30-50% to base earnings. This is a role where your output directly moves revenue. If you are looking for a high base with no accountability, this is not the right fit.
Application deadline:
April 26th, 2026.

About your role Hi, Steve Toth here. I’m hiring one person to work directly with me on the launch and growth of a stealth SaaS product built on 16 years of my expertise.
This is not a marketing role. It is a production role . Your job is to take my knowledge and turn it into finished assets across multiple channels (newsletters, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc).
You will create content production and syndication systems leveraging AI.
I run two newsletters with 27,000+ subscribers (seonotebook.com and ainotebook.com), a LinkedIn presence with 65,000+ followers, a cohort-based coaching program (stevetoth.coach), a 20+ person SEO/AEO agency (notebook.agency), and a conference (seoirl.com) hosting 250 people in Toronto, Canada this October.
I’m launching a new, first-of-its-kind platform that turns everything I know into an interactive product. You will be at the center of that launch and everything that follows.
You can use your preferred tool stack, but at our core, we leverage Claude + Notion heavily, but when it comes to video editing, post management, podcast production, etc. you will have freedom to choose your own stack.
You will work closely with me and report to me.
What you will do Content production (60% of your time)
Create systems to:
Take raw material from me (Loom recordings, call transcripts, rough notes, slide decks, podcast appearances) past notes) and produce first draft content: platform-exclusive articles, newsletter segments, LinkedIn posts, and short-form video
Build out exclusive content libraries organized by business vertical (SaaS, ecommerce, service-based businesses)
Adapt my notes and frameworks into written posts without losing accuracy or tone
Produce and schedule YouTube Videos/Shorts from batch filming sessions (I film, you edit, caption, and publish)
Take podcasts I’ve been on and segment them into digestible clips
Manage the content calendar across newsletters, LinkedIn, YouTube, and the platform
Distribution and growth (25% of your time)
Create systems to:
Manage LinkedIn promoted post campaigns and optimize for signups
Coordinate newsletter deep-links into the platform so every weekly send drives free trial signups
Prepare content and promotional materials for conference appearances and podcast guest spots
Manage content across websites
Track what is working and what is not. Report biweekly with numbers, not narratives
Launch support (15% of your time)
Support the launch of the stealth SaaS product across all channels
Build and maintain the website for our coaching program (currently does not exist and needs to ship)
Coordinate with our development team on content tagging, note organization, and platform content management
Eventually produce a podcast (12-episode seasons) when timing is right
What you bring Required:
1-3+ years of experience in content production, creator operations, or a similar role where you turned one person's ideas into multi-channel output
High proficiency with Claude. You use Claude daily. You know how to build and use Claude Projects, custom skills, writing styles, etc. You understand how to integrate Notion and other tools like MCP servers. This is non‑negotiable.
Track record of creating systems for content pipelines.
Vibe coding ability. You can use AI tools to build functional prototypes, landing pages, internal tools, and automations without being a traditional developer. You do not need to write code from scratch, but you need to be able to prompt your way to working assets.
Comfortable working in Notion as a power user. You build and manage workspaces, databases, and workflows, not just write in pages.
Strong video editing skills (short‑form: Shorts, Reels, TikTok‑style edits with captions and hooks)
Strong writing skills. You can take a rough transcript and turn it into a clean, publishable content and enhance it without changing the meaning.
Comfortable using Canva (or similar tools) to produce graphics, thumbnails, and promotional assets without needing a designer.
Familiar with newsletter platforms (Kit, Brevo, or similar)
Organized. You track deadlines, manage your own queue, and do not need to be chased.
Proof of work online. You have a visible body of work (LinkedIn posts, YouTube videos, articles, campaigns, a portfolio site) that I can review before we talk. I will only interview candidates who can show what they have built for themselves or others.
Preferred:
SEO/AI Notebook subscriber (preferred but not required)
Understanding of SEO. You do not need to be an expert, but you need to know what core updates, backlinks, and search intent mean without a glossary.
Experience working with a solo founder, creator, or expert‑led brand
What you will not do
Strategy. I set the direction. You execute and produce.
Sales. We have a team for that.
Community management. I respond to comments.
What this role becomes Within 3 months the operation looks like: I spend 3-4 hours per week creating raw material, and everything else happens without me. Within 6 months, you are managing a content production system that feeds a SaaS product, two newsletters, a LinkedIn channel, a YouTube channel, a coaching program, and a conference. That is a significant role with real ownership.
How to apply Send me:
A short Loom video (under 3 minutes) introducing yourself, showing one thing you have built or produced, and explaining why this role is a fit. If you cannot record a clear, concise Loom, this is not the right role.
A link to your proof of work online. This can be a portfolio, a LinkedIn profile with visible output, a YouTube channel, a blog, or a campaign you ran. I need to see what you have actually shipped, not a resume describing it.
A link to something you produced for someone else (video, article, campaign) where the final product looks and sounds like the person, not like you
A short note (under 200 words) on what you would do in your first 30 days
No cover letters. No PDFs. No "dear hiring manager." Just the four things above. Applications without a Loom will not be reviewed.
SEO That Ranks Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and do not discriminate based on race, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected status.

- Steve Toth
