As a Software Development Engineer in NetApp’s Cloud Platforms organization, you will play a critical role in the team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure and robust operating systems and capabilities that run NetApp data management applications in the Cloud
As part of the Research and Development function, the overall focus of the group is on competitive market and customer requirements, technology advances and innovation, product quality, product cost and time-to-market. To achieve these goals, software engineers in this organization leverage their technical strengths and teamwork skills via collaboration with Cloud partners and internal Engineering partners. Develop a strong technical understanding of NetApp’s existing data management and storage solutions in the Cloud, their interdependencies, and limitations. Participate in all phases of the product development cycle including product design and development, test automation, debugging and support, and supporting resolution of impactful customer issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. Operate under limited supervision and direction, as this individual can operate, drive results and set priorities independently. 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development and cloud engineering. ~ Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C/C++ or equivalent, and additionally, Python. ~ Strong hands-on operational knowledge in at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI). ~ Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, services, and best practices. ~ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. ~ Ability to work with limited supervision and operate and drive results independently.
Experience in software development of distributed data management systems (E.g.: Advanced certifications in Azure, AWS, GCP, or OCI. Experience with Cloud monitoring and logging tools. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. The target salary range for this position is $131,000-$180,000. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
