As an HBC Clerk, this position will be responsible for rotating, facing, and replenishing merchandise. You will review department status for cleanliness, product quality, and quantity. Additionally, you will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members.

Reporting relations include accountability to the District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Health Wellness Home, Store Operations, and Perishables, Fashion/Beauty/Basin Director, and Basin Department Manager. Positions that report to you include none.
Primary duties and responsibilities include providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service, smiling and greeting customers in a friendly manner, assisting customers by escorting them to products, securing products that are out of reach, loading or unloading heavy items, making notes of and passing along customer suggestions or requests, answering the telephone promptly, working with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment, rotating, facing, and replenishing merchandise, reviewing department status for cleanliness, product quality, and quantity, checking in product, putting product away, reviewing invoices, assisting with inventory, maintaining displays in the department and throughout the store, ordering product when asked by supervisor, maintaining strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress, adhering to company policies and individual store guidelines, and reporting to work when scheduled and on time.
Secondary duties and responsibilities include building displays as needed, assisting in other areas of the store as needed, and performing other job-related duties and special projects as required.
Knowledge, skills, abilities, and worker characteristics include the ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions, several concrete variables, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, understanding and following verbal or demonstrated instructions, writing identifying information, request supplies orally or in writing, less than high school and over six months up to one year of similar or related experience.
Physical requirements include the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects, clarity of vision at a distance of 20 inches or less, depth perception, and color vision, and performing the following physical activities: climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
Working conditions include exposure to dust and noise in a fast-paced work environment with significant pressure. Equipment used to perform the job includes a ladder, C.A.R.S. ordering system, computer, register system, box cutter, scissors, hammer, screwdriver, and produce cart. Financial responsibility includes none. Contacts include daily contact with store personnel, customers, and the general public. Confidentiality includes none. The anticipated hourly starting wage for this position is $11.41 to $14.00 depending on experience.
