With the opening of the Crisis Recovery Center in September 2025, the DuPage County Health Department achieved a milestone in building the ideal behavioral health crisis system for our community. We are excited to offer this leadership opportunity in Crisis Services as a key role in supporting the expansion and enhancement of the continuum of Crisis Services available to county residents who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis.
About Crisis Services & The Crisis Recovery Center
The Crisis Recovery Center (CRC) provides 24/7 behavioral health crisis services to county residents experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis; and is the access point for Crisis Residential. With the CRC, DuPage County now has a best-in-class behavioral health system which ensures all DuPage County residents have "someone to contact, someone to respond, and a safe place for help" when experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis.

Job Details
An individual in this Crisis Supervisor position will have primary responsibility for overseeing the Crisis Services Call Center operations. Responsibilities will also include supervising the work of professional level staff providing behavioral health crisis interventions and providing training and coaching to crisis services staff.
-Full-time position scheduled to work Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, with the ability to have flexibility in hours to meet the needs of staff
-The role includes on-call responsibilities that rotate weekly among the team of Crisis Supervisors
-The hiring range for this position is $70,895 to $81,595, depending on experience

Responsibilities
As a Crisis Services Supervisor for the DCHD Crisis Services Call Center, you will:
-Manage staff and the Crisis Call Center operations, which includes the DCHD Crisis Line and the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline
-Supervise the work of professional level staff working at Crisis Services, who provide crisis assessment, crisis intervention, and crisis follow-up services (integrated assessment and treatment planning, case management, therapy, linkage to care)
-Act as project director for grants related to the Crisis Call Center
-Conduct crisis line monitoring and evaluation
-Provide training and coaching to staff working at crisis services
-Provide support and consultation to staff regarding unique or complex client situations
-Collaborate with other professionals to support integrated care for clients served through crisis programs
-Serve as consultant to service providers in the community and ensure community knowledge and access to crisis services
-Monitor and analyze program outcomes and implement quality control processes
-Participate in emergency response activities as assigned
-Review charts and documentation for accuracy and compliance
-Work with a team of supervisors and assists in any necessary coverage to other Crisis services activities
Requirements
-Completion of a master's degree in psychology, Social Work or a related field
-5+ years of behavioral health experience, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience
-An equivalent combination of training and experience
This position requires current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist or a Licensed Clinical Psychologist
