Position Overview: American Outdoor Brands was forged in innovation and the desire to produce products that support the everyday shooter, hunter, defender, and outdoorsman. The Sales Coordinator is a key member of the regional sales teams, assisting with numerous tasks within the scope of the sales effort, including continuous improvement activities/projects, management of the daily communication with customers, sales personnel, and other intercompany departments as well as a wide variety of tasks associated with the sales effort in the region. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, self-motivation, and experience with hunting, shooting, and outdoor accessories. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage and oversee daily communication with customers, internal and external sales personnel as well as intercompany departments as required, including but not limited to updates on order status, in stock rates, price lock communication, etc. Serves as the main liaison to the Order Management Team for the customers in the region, ensuring that orders are processed and shipped on time and as complete as possible, including the management of any SMU or BTO items as required. With the help of the sales managers and external sales reps, the Sale Coordinator will Actively manage any items that are on the price lock report, including the creation, submission and management of price change approval forms. Responsible for managing, creating and supporting continuous improvement projects such as implementing new procedures, updating current and existing procedures as well as cataloging and communication of these projects as required. Help to manage, distribute and catalog price files, vendor trade agreements, programs, product information databases, product assets, as well as customer owned product database documents and requests. Assists with the management and distribution of all product samples, including storage and tracking of non-inventory new item samples. Serves as liaison between the Sales Managers and Show Lead to ensure all show needs are met and planned appropriately, including but not limited to the creation of order writers, sample management, show booking and travel planning. Manages all aspects and communication with all parties as necessary to execute a RTV, defective return, pick-up label, mis-shipment, or expedited order request. Manages the creation and distribution of weekly and monthly sales reports, SPS reports, in-stock/backorder reports and customer or sales representative specific reporting as required. Serves as a liaison between the Sales Managers and the Brand/Marketing teams as required to help drive merchandising initiatives, reporting needs, sample coordination and project management as required. Supports the planning and execution of the preparation process required for conducting a line review with a customer. This includes but is not limited to report creation, presentation management, sample acquisition and distribution, event location management, catering, travel planning, etc. Supports the sales staff with the execution of intercompany sales meetings via planning, recording and notation. Catering, etc. as well as various tasks associated with the planning and execution of an annual National Sales Meeting. Limited business travel may be required. Education and Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree preferred Experience: 3+ years of experience in a sales or business environment required Proficient in Microsoft Office Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience with firearms and outdoor products and accessories Competencies and Skills: Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel Work within the company Data management systems Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills Work with minimal supervision Negotiating Goal Management Problem Solving Project Management Opportunity Identification Entrepreneurial Personal Ambitions to grow within the company Physical Demands: Some work is required "off-hours" for business meetings/company events. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time in front of a computer. Ability to move about facility on regular basis to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking. Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment: General office environment, with some exposure to plant environment, with forklift and other general hazards. Some exposure to outdoors, rough terrain, firearms, and lead. Within any of our facilities, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. The work environment is similar to most manufacturing and distribution operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards. The following Personal Protective Equipment is required: Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection are required when on the manufacturing floor. The use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
