The Sr. QA Automation Engineer will drive digital automation, build upon the current foundation, and help us to grow our QA practice. We are seeking a strong, technical individual with a passion for the Retail space especially around services side of our business. Responsibilities
Lead engineering efforts related to automated testing Partner with Services team members to develop automation strategy and execution plan Work with product stakeholders to identify and prioritize tests that are candidates for automation Develop new automated test cases and enhance current test suite as new functionality is built Run automated test suite and evaluate performance, functionality, and scalability Collect and report data pertaining to digital reliability and performance Conduct Manual testing whenever teams need additional assistance Support Production deployments and critical manual and automated smoke testing Work with development and delivery teams to enhance the testability of their code, and to analyze and resolve defects in a timely manner Provide on-site guidance and mentorship to other test automation engineers across the Services space Strong partner in the IS and Business automation strategy to help with findings and continuous improvement Collaborate with IS leadership team to ensure automated test code adheres to PetSmart standards and participate in automation strategy and optimization efforts across IS Self-motivated and discipline to meet deadlines with speed, accuracy and professional attitude Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent analytical and trouble-shooting skills Collaborative and a team player Ability to resolve conflict in a constructive manner and work around obstacles to ensure project success Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 3-5 years of experience writing test code in multiple languages (Java, C#, JavaScript . Apex preferred) Expert level of experience automating web and mobile application across multiple devices and platforms using test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, TestNG, and JUnit/NUnit Solid understanding of software testing practices and agile development. Works independently under minimal direction with strong work ethic Strong communication skills and sense of teamwork and positive enthusiasm Must Have
TDD and clientD concepts RESTful + SOAP web service APIs. Experience with a continuous integration tools.. Expert level of experience automating web and mobile application across multiple devices and platforms using test automation tools and frameworks. Test Automation Tools/Frameworks Jmeter, RestAssured, Selenium, Jenkins, Junit, Git. JIRA/Rally and Confluence. CI/CD/CT - Build pipeline tools (JMeter, Jenkins) Agile Methodologies Test tools including JMeter, SOAPUI Test Automation NUnit, Maven, XLR. Test Repositories, eg: QTest Testing Techniques integration, system, sanity, End-to-End, regression, Beta/Acceptance. Code Analysis/Review - Experience reviewing code and providing feedback to development for quality and testability Relational database testing. Languages: Experience in at the minimum one programming language for Automation Nice to Have
Cloudbees experience Automating web and mobile application using Appium and TestNG frameworks APIs and web application Performance testing. SAFe Methodologies/Experience Unit Test writing experience Test tools including Tosca Testing Techniques black box, Performance, Security testing Languages: Groovy
