Essential duties and responsibilities include meeting all established key performance indicators (KPIs), meeting sales and gross profit percentage targets for assigned books of business, following company guidelines to establish selling prices and profit margins, actively researching profitability concerns, meeting objectives related to customer acquisition and activation, always representing the company professionally and courteously, moderate/expert technical understanding of fasteners & industrial hardware required, working to ensure customer retention through seamless customer support, proactive communication, and order fulfillment troubleshooting, serving as an escalation point for non-routine customer solutions and support, providing support to the Business Unit Manager in escalated matters, working to improve customer experience and provide solutions for one-time buys, and driving efficiency to improve service & profitability, providing support and mentorship to other members of the discrete/unplanned Inside Sales team, including providing training opportunities, data entry, quote support, record management, researching activities, logistics (communication with warehouse), shipment scheduling, etc. via defined processes, effective management of all customers' master data (IE: shipping conditions, blanket order requirements, customer contact information, CRM data, prior day invoicing, order entry etc.), proactively driving account management while executing tasks to support the sales process and move opportunities forward, collaborating professionally with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve customer issues, working to improve customer experience and provide solutions for one-time buys, and driving efficiency to improve service & profitability, managing customer portals for demand, quote requests, and corrective actions, maintaining and building customer relationships to become trusted consultative advisors, excellent judgement and decision-making skills, strategic thinker; uses creative and innovative problem solving in many types of diverse situations, proactively contacting customers to assist with upcoming requirements, being able to learn ways with Wurth training to read and decipher customer prints and drawings, providing leadership for recommending and identifying internal process improvements, responding timely to requests via all modes of communication (IE: phone, fax, email or chat), and performing other duties, as assigned. Qualifications, skills & abilities include a bachelor's degree preferred, high school diploma/GED, minimum 3 - 5 years' customer service/inside sales or related experience is required, intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word and PowerPoint, advanced Excel skills, SAP & P21 skills/experience are advantageous, must be able to read, analyze and understand customer purchase orders, drawings and vendor-supplied reference material, experience in sourcing and procuring industrial hardware, intermediate technical understanding of fasteners & industrial hardware required, ability to analyze data to make decisions and impact on the customer, up sell products and services, ability to supply customers with professional written, computer-generated or verbal quotations and recommendations, must be able to verbalize thoughts and information via phone and in person clearly and concisely, excellent judgement and decision-making skills, ability to establish credibility, respect and trust from internal colleagues and external customers, ability to keep employees motivated, create a team environment and resolve conflict, and must occasionally lift, carry or move up to 25 lbs.
