Skills and Qualifications 7 to 15 years of proven experience in structural engineering for the steel, mining, or mineral processing industry. Strong knowledge of structural design for heavy industrial projects, especially iron ore mining, pellet plants, and beneficiation plants. Proficient in structural analysis and design software (STAAD Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, AutoCAD, Revit). In-depth understanding of US codes and standards including AISC, ACI, ASCE, OSHA. Experience with steel fabrication drawings and construction support. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership abilities. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and in a dynamic project environment. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. Experience with 3D modeling and BIM software. Familiarity with sustainability practices and environmental compliance. Education Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering with a structural focus, or equivalent. Physical Requirements This position is a mixture of field work and office duties. Field work will be conducted daily throughout the year so exposure to the elements (rain, snow, cold, heat, etc) is to be expected. The office duties will require work in front of a laptop, desk, and phone. Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
