RN Unit Manager - Nursing Leadership Role
Lead a dedicated nursing team and help shape the care experience for residents in our skilled nursing facility at Homewood Living Frederick.

About the Role:
The RN Unit Manager provides clinical leadership and oversight for a skilled nursing unit, ensuring high-quality care for residents while supporting and guiding nursing staff. This position plays an important role in maintaining a positive, professional care environment and ensuring strong clinical practices across the unit.
The Unit Manager works closely with nursing leadership, interdisciplinary teams, and frontline staff to support resident care, address clinical concerns, and foster a collaborative team culture.
Job Summary:
Responsible for the entire atmosphere (24 hour care) and leadership of staff in setting a positive, professional and caring tone on a particular wing/unit in providing quality care to residents.

Physical Requirements:
This position would include responsibilities of leadership in nursing. Standing and walking distances constantly throughout the campus would be required during the shift in evaluating residents, supporting line staff, and responding to emergency needs of the Retirement Community. Ability to lift 30 pounds in assisting co-workers with resident lifts, transfers, etc., several times throughout the shift. Must be able to react quickly and decisively in emergencies and in unexpected behavior of residents.
