As an Infoblox Network Engineer supporting CIS, you will ensure the reliability, security, and high availability of enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IPAM services across multiple networks and environments. You will design and optimize core network services, maintain secure configuration baselines, and deliver resilient address management capabilities that enable mission critical applications to function seamlessly. Key responsibilities include: Administer, configure, and maintain Infoblox DDI platforms, including Grid architecture, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and associated automation or security features Monitor availability, performance, and synchronization of Infoblox appliances, proactively identifying opportunities to improve resilience and operational efficiency Implement secure configuration baselines, system hardening, and STIG aligned controls across all Infoblox appliances and supporting network services Execute timely patching, firmware updates, and security fixes for Infoblox Grid members and virtual appliances using approved automation and compliance tools Review weekly vulnerability scan results, identify noncompliant systems, investigate root causes, and coordinate remediation to sustain enterprise security alignment Track and apply approved security directives, task orders, and vulnerability notices affecting DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and related network service components Design and maintain DNS zones, DHCP scopes, failover configurations, DHCP fingerprinting, reserved address plans, and IPAM automation workflows Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting for complex DDI issues, including DNS resolution failures, DHCP allocation problems, Grid synchronization errors, and service degradation Collaborate with networking, cybersecurity, engineering, and operations teams to support new system integrations, validate secure designs, and meet accreditation requirements Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, patch schedules, address plans, and operational procedures to support audit readiness and change control What you'll need to succeed: Education: Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field, 12+ years of relevant IT experience in lieu of a degree Certification: Meet DoD 8140 Information Assurance Workforce certification requirements (e.g. Security+ CE, etc.) Additional certification required: Vendor-Specific (e.g., F5 Certified Administrator, BIG-IP certification) Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph Hands-on experience administering Infoblox DDI platforms, Grid Manager, and core DNS/DHCP/IPAM services in an enterprise environment Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, subnetting, DNSSEC, DHCP design, IP address planning, and secure network services architecture Experience performing patch management, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance reporting across network service platforms Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex network service issues and communicate clearly across technical teams US citizenship required Location: Onsite GDIT is your place. The likely salary range for this position is $147,292 - $199,278. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
