Salary Range: $70 - $80/hr.
Introduction
In this role, you will collaborate with a team of scientists and engineers to predict and improve system-level performance of client products and prototypes. Using internally developed simulation tools—including an existing display emulation codebase in MATLAB—you will analyze results to directly enhance product and prototype performance while improving the codebase's maintainability, efficiency, and capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Deep proficiency in MATLAB
Strong software development skills
Experience with source control
Have at least 5 years experience in software development
BS in Engineering, Physics, Optics, Computer Science, Color Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work/education experience
Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Signal/Image processing
Mathematical modeling and simulation
Color science
Knowledge of display technologies (μLED, OLED, LCD, LCOS, DMD) or display pipeline architecture
Familiarity with display metrology/calibration, image quality metrics, or human perception
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Code refactoring in IQToolbox
Use simulation tools to model end-to-end performance of display systems
Report analysis of these simulations to establish specifications for these display systems and ensure a successful product
Collaborate with the larger research team to explore concepts and drive system performance to create compelling experiences
