While our goal is to save teeth, our mission is to support, care for, and educate people.
We are seeking a friendly and organized Dental Scheduling Coordinator to join our dedicated team. You’ll be the first point of contact for our patients, playing a vital role in delivering an excellent patient experience and supporting the smooth operation of our dental practice.
Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
Responsibilities
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage patient communication
Communicate with referring offices to obtain all necessary documentation
Coordinate scheduling of treatment appointments based on provider availability and patient needs
Obtain necessary insurance benefit breakdowns and confirmation of coverage details
Provide accurate estimated out-of-pocket costs to patients prior to appointment, along with all other necessary pre-appointment information
Serve as a liaison between the provider and patient to facilitate understanding and trust
Maintain patient records and documentation of communication with patients, and ensure accurate data entry
Ensure strict compliance with patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
Coordinate patient flow and assist with administrative support as needed
Please note that additional responsibilities may be assigned
Qualifications
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of dental or medical scheduling experience
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with dental treatment planning and insurance coordination
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Compassionate, patient-focused demeanor
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Experience with dental practice management software
- Ability to explain complex information in a clear and supportive way
- Understanding of dental procedures, codes, and insurance plans
- Knowledge of HIPAA and regulatory requirements

The salary range for this role is $18 - $20 per hour.
