Loss Prevention Data Analyst
The Loss Prevention Data Analyst will support the Asset Protection function through data-driven analysis, operational reporting, and trend identification focused on reducing shrinkage and preventing loss across a large retail footprint. This role will partner closely with Loss Prevention leadership and field teams to proactively identify patterns tied to theft, operational breakdowns, and inventory loss. This position is ideal for a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with data, identifying operational trends, and translating findings into actionable business insights. Prime Communications operates as the largest AT&T Authorized Retailer in the United States, with more than 1,900 retail locations across 48 states. Key Responsibilities
Analyze shrinkage, theft, and operational loss data across retail locations to identify trends, anomalies, and emerging risks. Monitor ongoing LP metrics and develop recurring reporting to support proactive loss prevention strategies. Identify repeat incidents, high-risk stores, repeat offenders, and operational patterns contributing to losses. Conduct root-cause analysis tied to inventory discrepancies, theft activity, and operational process breakdowns. Partner with LP leadership to prioritize focus areas based on trend analysis and operational risk indicators. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPI tracking tools using Excel and other reporting platforms. Prepare weekly and monthly reporting packages for Asset Protection and operational leadership. Support data validation, reconciliation, and reporting accuracy across LP systems and operational datasets. Assist in building scalable reporting processes that improve visibility into shrink and investigative trends. Create visual summaries and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to leadership. Recommend process improvements and monitoring opportunities based on recurring trends and operational findings. Assist with development of preventative monitoring programs and operational controls. Support cross-functional initiatives tied to inventory accuracy and operational compliance. Qualifications
Required Qualifications Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, formulas, filtering, and data organization. Ability to identify trends and interpret operational data. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or other reporting/analytics tools. Prior exposure to retail operations, loss prevention, operational analytics, or inventory management. Experience working with large datasets or operational reporting.
