R2026-6324**It's fun to work in a company where people truly BELIEVE in what they're doing!****Job Description Summary:**The Customer Solutions Engineer a highly skilled Mainframe Modernization Senior Consultant to provide technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to support our Customers’ Digital Transformation
The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skill and relevant project experience in at least one of the following focus areas:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide services to customers (75%)o Works on complex project scope with minimal direction from with Customer/SI nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks.o Contributes to design for specific deliverables and assists in the deployment Rocket productso Contribute to implement new solutions under the direction of Delivery Architectso Create proof of concept / proof of value technology analysis and pilots.o Conduct external and internal technical presentations/trainings to peer groups.o Uses and contributes to technical forums within the Rocket AMC environment and local professional communities and technical user groups.o Applies own subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common technical issues.o Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate actiono Participates as part of a team and maintains good relationships with team members and customers.Team Leadership (25%)o Ultimately accountable for Technical solution implementation for project.o Leads a team and communicates project status and risks to all project stakeholders on behalf of the team.o Use technical experience to give customer sound technical advice.o Responsible for knowing the Architecture, versions, and requirements.o Responsible for determining appropriate technical resource requirements for project completion. Works with PM to request resources.o Coordinating with PM on technical communication to customer, any new requirements or changes in scope and impacts to delivering the technical solution.o Determine if change is a product defect or enhancement before communicating to customer.o Responsible for estimating new requirements of Project and gaining Architect or Manager approval.o Conducting or assigning code reviews.Expected Qualification and Soft Skillso 5-7 years of relevant technical experienceo Excellent communication / customer service skills / confident telephone mannero Proactive and able to work under pressureo Experience in complex IT project implementations, customizations and or maintenanceo Must have an analytical mind set to analyse test result and facilitate defect resolutiono Organized and methodical, dealing with numerous tasks.o Fluent in written and verbal English.Requested Technical skillsTechnical skills to include two or more of the following:o IBM Enterprise COBOL or PLI programming experienceo System level experience of IBM CICS; IMS and JCLo Relational databases, such as IBM DB2/UDB, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server; PostgreSQLo Windows operating systemo Linux/UNIX operating systemo Knowledge of major Cloud Provider infrastructure and technologies, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Cloud Foundry, Docker / KubernetesDesired Project Experienceo A practical experience of mainframe application modernization project is highly desirable.
