Job Description WHAT WE’RE DOING Lockheed Martin is partnering with PG&E, Salesforce, and Wells Fargo to deliver EMBERPOINT™, an initiative designed to transform wildfire prevention, detection, and response across the United States.
EMBERPOINT integrates advanced sensing technologies, artificial intelligence, and real-time command-and-control capabilities to help detect wildfires earlier, prevent escalation, and improve coordination between utilities, emergency responders, and public agencies.
To support this mission, we are building a secure and scalable cloud platform that enables real-time data processing, advanced analytics, and resilient operational systems. We are seeking an Oracle Cloud Administrator to design, provision, and operate the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platform that powers key EMBERPOINT workloads.
THE WORK As an Oracle Cloud Administrator, you will architect and operate the OCI environment supporting Kubernetes-based applications, infrastructure automation, and large-scale data processing. You will play a key role in building the platform from the ground up and ensuring it operates securely, reliably, and efficiently.
You will also support engineering teams migrating workloads from AWS to OCI, providing guidance, operational patterns, and documentation to ensure a smooth transition.
Key Responsibilities
Design, provision, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments including tenancy structures, compartments, and governance controls.
Deploy and operate Kubernetes clusters using Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) to support containerized workloads.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and OCI Resource Manager to automate cloud provisioning.
Establish and enforce identity, access, and security baselines across the OCI environment.
Implement monitoring, logging, and operational observability for cloud services and workloads.
Lead the initial OCI platform build-out and support ongoing cloud operations.
Assist engineering teams migrating workloads from AWS to OCI by providing patterns, runbooks, and hands‑on guidance.
Basic Qualifications
Experience administering Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments including tenancy and compartment management.
Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters using OKE.
Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or OCI Resource Manager.
Experience implementing Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies and security baselines.
Experience implementing monitoring and logging solutions for cloud environments.
Who We Are Our cloud platform team provides the infrastructure that enables the EMBERPOINT ecosystem to ingest, process, and analyze data in real time. We build highly reliable cloud environments that support mission‑critical applications designed to help protect communities and critical infrastructure from wildfire threats.
Our team values automation, operational discipline, and collaborative problem solving while building systems that operate securely and at scale.
Who You Are You are a cloud infrastructure professional who enjoys building and operating modern cloud platforms. You bring strong technical expertise in cloud services, automation, and security practices, and you are comfortable working across engineering teams to enable reliable and scalable systems.
You enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges and helping development teams adopt cloud‑native practices while maintaining strong operational stability.
Desired Skills
Experience designing cloud networking architectures and Quality of Service (QoS) policies.
Experience implementing backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
Familiarity with OCI block and object storage services.
Experience implementing cost management, tagging strategies, and resource governance.
Experience mentoring teams through cloud migration efforts and developing operational documentation.
Other Important Information By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Should this match be identified you may be contacted for this and future openings.
Ability to work remotely Full‑time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
