Job Summary: This position is responsible for leading business development efforts across the North Central region of the United States. We are seeking an experienced sales professional to drive growth by expanding existing business, strengthening OEM and distributor relationships, and identifying new opportunities.
The role focuses on uncovering and developing new applications, delivering tailored solutions, and increasing overall profitability while managing a robust pipeline of strategic opportunities. The successful candidate will take ownership of both short- and long-term regional sales plans, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.
This individual will report directly to the VP of Sales, Americas, and play a key role in driving sustained revenue growth within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive design-in, design wins, and conversion at OEM customers by supporting the adoption of Harwin products into new and existing designs.
Partner with distributors and manufacturers’ representatives to grow regional sales, consistently meeting or exceeding agreed targets.
Serve as the primary point of contact and coordinator across all Harwin functions for customers, distributors, and rep partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key engineering, procurement, and decision-making stakeholders, developing a deep understanding of customer roadmaps and business drivers.
Proactively manage the opportunity pipeline, ensuring accurate, up-to-date forecasting and clear visibility of all active opportunities.
Execute a disciplined customer engagement strategy, including a high volume of in-person visits with engineering, procurement, and related teams.
Develop and execute strategic account plans for key OEMs, aligning Harwin solutions to customer needs, market dynamics, and growth opportunities.
Support the development of technical marketing content, including application notes, training materials, presentations, videos, and product documentation.
Provide market intelligence to the Product Development team, including pricing trends, competitive insights, and emerging customer requirements.
Deliver quarterly business reviews to the VP of Sales, Americas, including performance results, pipeline status, market trends, and forward-looking plans.
Represent Harwin at sales meetings, customer events, trade shows, and training sessions as required.
Maintain strict adherence to company policies, including health & safety, compliance, and data governance standards.
Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions, representing the Harwin brand with integrity.
Manage expenses responsibly and submit timely, accurate reports in line with company guidelines.
Undertake additional responsibilities as required, consistent with the scope and seniority of the role.
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have experience in Key Account Management and Selling concepts based around technical engineered solutions. They will have a strong record of accomplishment against sales objectives and timescales.
This is a remote, field-based role that requires residency within Harwin’s North Central Region.
5-10 years’ field-based experience in an Account Management / Business Development role.
Strong commercial and technical knowledge of the electronic components industry and ability to communicate that knowledge.
Degree or equivalent experience in Electronic / Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be preferred.
Ability to create and present technical presentations to Customers and Management.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, ability to interact and influence key contacts. Engaging, out-going personality.
Must speak fluent English and be able / willing to travel domestically and internationally as required.
