divh2Patient Care Assistant/h2pUnder the supervision of the licensed nursing staff, provides direct patient care to assigned patients to assure patient comfort, safety and hygiene needs./ph3Principal Duties And Responsibilities(*Essential Functions)/h3ulliAssists patients with basic patient care related tasks, including bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, feeding, transferring, ambulating, transporting and making beds./liliCleans and maintains equipment, patient rooms, and other areas as assigned./liliMeasures and records vital signs to include blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, glucometer, oxygen saturation, weight intake and output, and food consumption./liliReports on patients status changes or requests to licensed nursing staff as observed during rounding and answering the call lights./liliDocuments patient care information per policies and procedures in the medical record./li/ulh3Job Specifications(Minimum Requirements)/h3h3Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities/h3ulliAbility to clearly communicate patients status and care issues to Licensed Nursing Staff./liliAbility to verbally communicate with patients, families, the public and other staff of the department./liliAbility to complete assigned tasks independently./li/ulh3Education/h3ulliHigh School Diploma/GED Equivalent Required/lili1 Healthcare/Medical - Nurse: Assistant Preferred/liliCertified Nursing Assistant Certified/liliCardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation/li/ulh3Standards Of Behavior/h3pMeets the Standards of Behavior as outlined in Personnel Policy and Procedure #1, Employee Relations Code./ph3Confidentiality/Hipaa/Corporate Compliance/h3pDemonstrates knowledge of procedures for protecting and maintaining security, confidentiality and integrity of employee, patient, family, organizational and other medical information.
