3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants About the Role We’re seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Accounting & FP&A Analyst to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will support both financial planning & analysis and core accounting operations, providing insights that inform decision-making while ensuring accurate financial records. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, remote environment and is comfortable working cross-functionally to support strategic and operational goals. Key Responsibilities • Own and execute the monthly and annual close process, including reconciliations and journal entries • Prepare Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and assist with full financial statement preparation • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies • Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business performance • Analyze financial results and prepare summary reports and dashboards for leadership • Partner with business units to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and model scenarios • Support cash flow analysis, revenue forecasting, and cost control initiatives • Create and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and support dashboard reporting • Identify and implement improvements to streamline financial processes and reporting • Support audits, tax filings, and other regulatory compliance needs • Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate monthly closes Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred) • 3+ years of experience in accounting and/or FP&A (SaaS or startup experience a plus) • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Maxio for reporting and reconciliation • Proficiency in Excel and working knowledge of financial modeling • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices • Experience with monthly close, reconciliations, and journal entries • Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment and meeting deadlines • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Experience supporting external audits or tax filings is a plus • Familiarity with ERP systems like NetSuite or SAP is a bonus Why Join Us? • 100% remote team and flexible work environment • Opportunity to support a growing business in a high-impact finance and accounting role • Collaborative and mission-driven culture • Competitive hourly rate and opportunity for future growth Seniority level
