The Flooring Pros Inc is a privately held and rapidly expanding commercial flooring & tile installation company seeking a Traveling Project Manager to oversee day-to-day project execution on multifamily and commercial construction jobs across the Southeastern U.S. With 3x growth last year and on track to double again this year, we’re scaling quickly—and we’re looking for leaders who want to grow with us. Responsibilities
Provide
on-site supervision and coordination
for all phases of flooring installation projects.
Manage subcontractor crews , ensuring high-quality installation, adherence to specs, and safety compliance.
Serve as the
main point of contact
between site teams, customers, general contractors, and internal office staff.
Maintain
project schedules, material deliveries , and jobsite cleanliness across multiple concurrent projects.
Proactively identify and resolve project issues
to avoid delays, budget overages, or customer dissatisfaction.
Conduct
daily site walks and quality checks , documenting progress and holding teams accountable to performance standards.
Communicate real-time updates to office staff, including
project milestones, field reports, punch lists , and closeout documentation.
Represent the company with professionalism and pride at every jobsite—every day.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience managing commercial or multifamily construction projects,
preferably in flooring, finishes, or interiors .
Strong interpersonal and
people management skills ; capable of leading subcontractors with confidence and clarity.
Ability to
travel frequently
throughout the Southeast; this is a field-based role with 80–100% travel.
Deep understanding of
jobsite safety, construction timelines, and customer expectations .
Excellent communication and
problem-solving skills
— must be calm under pressure and organized.
Ownership mentality —you treat each project like it’s your name on the wall.
Basic computer and mobile tech proficiency (email, site photos, construction apps, digital reporting).
