PositionTitle: Franchise Operations Manager Department: Operations Location: Remote based in North Carolina (Home-based with 80% travel) ReportsTo: Franchise Business Consultant
High Growth Opportunity With the rapid growth of Charleys, a Franchise Operations Manager has the potential to grow into a FBC (Franchise Business Consultant) role within a reasonable timeframe.
Responsibilities
Maintains a high level of knowledge and skill in all areas of operations and training.
Role-models the use of all policies and procedures.
Contacts franchisee consistently prior to opening to schedule assistance needed.
Communicates with the FBC and Director of Operations throughout the opening process sharing the status of opening related milestones, potential delays or other opening related issues.
Utilizes the New Store Opening Guide throughout the process to ensure a successful opening.
Confers with Franchise Operators (FO) regarding hiring, placing food orders, uniform ordering & New Store Opening Guide.
Works with FO regarding pre-opening schedule, training, shift control, scheduling, order & daily/nightly paperwork. Spends approximately 7 days at the restaurant prior to opening completing these tasks with the FO.
Assisted in regional training classes as needed.
Spends approximately 1-2 days at all new stores after opening to provide training and follow-up. Notify Director of Operations & FBC of any problems and potential issues that may need attention from the FBC or other departments.
Maintains regular follow-up to restaurants post opening and visits stores that are not performing well. Works with the FBC to develop plan of action to address deficiencies and ensure brand standards are met.
Assists FBC with franchise business plans and other related initiatives.
Manages work schedule effectively in order to accommodate changes in opening schedules and stretch assignment activities.
Completes additional tasks as assigned.
Preferred Experience
5+ years of restaurant/franchise operations experience.
Quick service and multi-unit franchise operations experience preferred.
New restaurant opening experience preferred.
Ability to train and develop in a high-paced environment.
Ability to build relationships, effectively communicate and positively influence Franchisees and other key constituents.
Ability to travel 80% of time.
Ability to work weekends and evenings if needed.
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Strong financial acumen, analysis/problem solving, negotiating and influencing skills.
Ability to lead, motivate, hold accountable, develop, direct and achieve target results for Franchise Partners.
Ability to prioritize and manage workflow effectively.
Disciplined, possess a high degree of drive with a proven track record of achieving results.
Excellent communication (written and oral), organization and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft computer skills, i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
