The League provides a platform for advocacy, collaboration, and innovation, representing nearly 400 credit unions in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia and their more than 33 million members, and over $467 billion in assets. The League serves as an advocate through credit union engagement, advocacy impact, Foundation resources, and
LEVERAGE
products and services.
The League Consultant serves as the primary strategic relationship manager for assigned credit unions across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Virginia. This role represents The League of Credit Unions & Affiliates across the credit union industry, strengthening relationships with both affiliated and non‑affiliated credit unions and serving as a trusted connector to advocacy, engagement, education, and solutions.
The League Consultant partners closely with the Senior Vice President of Member Engagement and Industry Relations to support League membership growth, retention, and relevance. This role is accountable for understanding credit union needs, coordinating internal resources, and ensuring credit unions experience The League as integrated, responsive, and strategically aligned. Success in this role is measured by the strength of credit union relationships, depth of engagement, effectiveness of internal coordination, and contributions to League growth and relevance.
The League Consultant is also responsible for identifying opportunities, generating qualified solution leads, and maintaining continuity between credit unions and
LEVERAGE
partners. Maintaining a robust understanding of credit union issues, financial performance data, The League programs, and
LEVERAGE
products and services, both in‑house and endorsed, is essential.
What you need to be qualified for this job: (see full job description attached)
Associate's degree in business administration, marketing, communication, psychology, sociology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
Four years of previous experience in a communications, marketing, or non‑profit association position.
Previous financial services experience required. Previous credit union experiences are a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
Work Schedule: As a
League Consultant , this role is expected to involve approximately 40‑50% travel, primarily within Virginia, and mostly by car, with occasional travel by plane. The position is fully remote, offering flexibility to set your schedule based on the needs of credit unions.
