Job Overview The Nutritional Consultant provides nutritional/dietary consultations to participants in patient management programs, ensuring patient understanding of nutritional goals and objectives, and supporting patients diagnosed with chronic conditions.
Responsibilities
Ensure patient understanding of nutritional goals and objectives.
Provide nutritional counseling and patient education for patients diagnosed with chronic conditions.
Motivate patients to make changes or enhancements to their current nutritional plan.
Collaborate with physicians or other health professionals to ensure adherence to the prescribed plan of care.
Develop training modules for nurse consultants providing care management services for participants.
Minimum Requirements
Current valid, active, and unrestricted RD license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum three years of experience counseling individuals on nutritional/dietary management issues related to chronic disease, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences A bachelor’s degree is highly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $65,912 – $107,856. Benefits package includes health insurance, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, 401(k) contribution, and other benefits subject to eligibility requirements.
