Responsibilities
Delivering accurate and professional sign language interpreting via telehealth platforms for educational environments
Facilitating communication between students, educators, and support staff to enhance access to instructional content
Maintaining confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards in all interpreting encounters
Collaborating with school personnel to schedule interpreting sessions and troubleshoot technical issues related to telehealth tools
Documenting interpreting activities and maintaining records in compliance with regulatory requirements
Desired Qualifications
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience interpreting in educational settings
Familiarity with telehealth technologies and remote interpreting protocols
Strong communication skills and cultural competence to effectively support diverse student populations
Ability to work independently under a 1099 contract arrangement
Relevant certification or credentials in sign language interpreting strongly preferred
