With a 35 plus GWh project pipeline and more than 230 professionals already on board, their U.S. division is scaling fast, and they are now hiring a Senior Project Engineer to support the technical delivery of some of the most advanced and largest BESS projects in the world.
The Role As Senior Project Engineer, you will play a central role in delivering complex, utility scale battery energy storage projects from early design through commissioning. Working remotely, you will serve as the primary technical liaison between internal engineering teams, customers, vendors, and contractors, ensuring all technical requirements, design decisions, and deliverables are aligned and executed to the highest standard. This position involves contract and technical reviews, design coordination, network and system integration support, and hands-on involvement in testing and commissioning activities. It is an opportunity to work at the forefront of the U.S. storage market within a rapidly scaling organization, and a project pipeline secured for 2026 of over 35GWh's.
This is a remote role with approximately 20% travel.
Responsibilities Include
Serving as the primary technical point of contact for internal teams, customers, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle
Reviewing contract documents, technical requirements, and project deliverables to identify risks and ensure compliance
Reviewing product drawings, documentation, and reports to quickly identify design or installation issues and support timely resolution
Developing project-specific Bills of Materials and coordinating technical requirements and approvals with vendors
Creating commissioning and test plans and supporting both Factory and Field Acceptance Testing
Supporting troubleshooting activities during commissioning and assisting with issue resolution
Preparing technical submittals, weekly technical reports, and acceptance test reports for customer approval
Producing and reviewing CAD drawings to support system design, installation planning, and technical documentation
The Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy storage, power systems, or industrial electrical project engineering
Strong understanding of energy storage systems, including batteries, inverters, and utility scale electrical infrastructure
Experience with project engineering processes such as document control, vendor coordination, and technical submittals
Ability to interpret and work with electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, SCADA systems, and network designs
Excellent communication skills with experience interfacing directly with customers, vendors, and internal teams
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
