Work in the Patient Revenue Management Organization, the fully integrated, centralized revenue cycle organization that supports the entire health system in streamlining the revenue cycle. The PRMO Billing System’s IT Analyst plays a key role in the Revenue Cycle, acting as a subject matter expert in Charge Router and Charge Review, and working closely with the Maestro Care teams on system build. The analyst will provide liaison services between the PRMO Revenue Management Department and the Maestro Care teams, facilitating communication across various teams in the PRMO and beyond.
Reports to: Analyst IT, Senior of Billing Systems Team
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the documentation, resolution and completion of identified deployment issues and tasks, maintaining accuracy for the Internal Controls initiative.
Oversee all Service Now requests for the Revenue Management Department (excluding Clinical Research), all Charge Router‑Review logic updates and Charge Router Review Work Queues, and collaborate with management and end users to request, test, and implement changes to the Charge Router for compliant billing.
Support Revenue Management of Account, Follow‑Up and Claim Edit Work Queues and billing‑related components in Master Files for DEP updates (e.g., charging method, POS, linked technical charges) and updates to missing Bill Area process.
Oversee Preference List updates for both Ambulatory and Inpatient – specifically Charge Router, Error Pool and PB Work Queues – and monitor specific PB Charge Review Work Queues for system updates.
Review release notes related to current and new functionality; report, document and elevate issues and Epic upgrade/new version testing, validation and implementation.
Formally participate in and initiate meetings to review billing issues and/or system logic updates, identifying scope changes and raising issues or risks when discovered.
Act as liaison for Revenue Management to Maestro Care Team, providing hands‑on support to the Maestro Care PB and HB Teams.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of experience equivalent to a degree.
Experience: 4 years pertinent experience.
Certification: Obtain Epic Resolute Professional Billing Office Administration for SBO and SBO Admin or Resolute Hospital Billing Office Administration for SBO and SBO Admin within the defined timeline; failure to obtain certification may result in termination.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Understand principles of application systems development and apply them to analyze, test, implement, maintain and document IT projects.
Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
Prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Ability to work on a flexible schedule.
Strong research and documentation skills.
Basic relational database and operating systems experience with SQL.
Effective communication with non‑technical staff and interdisciplinary team members.
Ability to work independently.
