Job Description
The Field Service Engineering Technician provides technical support and report writing for Field Service technicians to ensure repairs meet TPI and OEM standards. Acts as the primary contact for field technicians and supervisors on engineering issues and communicates with customer engineering teams regarding conditions, repairs, and reports. Supports the maintenance and development of procedures with guidance from senior staff.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Compile photos and repair data into reports, submit for approval, and communicate outcomes.
Review submitted repair process photos, identify deviations, and suggest corrective actions.
Support technicians by approving work at engineering hold points or obtaining approvals.
Communicate repair findings and instructions to customers and team members.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Who We’re Looking For
Associate’s degree in an engineering field and 2+ years of related experience, or equivalent.
Understanding of engineering concepts, ability to interpret prints and drawings.
Strong communication skills, including technical writing.
Ability to work independently and in teams, and to perform under deadlines.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
This is a remote role with up to 20% travel; must have a valid US driver’s license.
