Job Description We are seeking a Power Systems Consultant to develop models for power systems elements (such as conventional and renewable generating plants, voltage support devices, etc.), perform model validation, and conduct large‑scale simulations of electrical transmission systems for clients such as power producers, independent system operators, and transmission providers. You will develop solutions for safe and reliable power system operations. Responsibilities include the application of power systems planning principles, simulation and analysis of power system steady state, dynamic and transient behaviors, development of mathematical models for reliability assessment of electrical networks, and delivery of on‑site technical consulting and training services.
This is a remote position based in the Contiguous U.S.
Your Impact
Drive execution of your assignments and deliver quality results on time and within budget through regular status reporting to satisfy our customers. Assignments may include steady‑state, dynamic and transient analyses of electrical power transmission systems, modeling of renewable and conventional generation facilities and other elements of power systems, relay protection modeling, microgrid studies, etc.
Create draft reports and presentations with study results for review by senior staff and managers.
Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a growth mindset while participating in training and mentoring opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Power and Energy Systems and practical experience in using advanced power system analysis tools.
At least one year of relevant professional experience, including engineering internships, will be considered.
Knowledge of transmission system planning or operations with experience analyzing power flow, transient stability, and/or electromagnetic transients.
Advanced degree may be substituted for experience.
Ability to travel 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of PSSE, PSLF, PowerWorld, TARA, PSCAD and/or Python is a plus.

Compensation: $68,830 - $117,994. 10% bonus.
