Topix Media Lab is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Business Analyst to support our finance, sales, and rights operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial tracking, smooth royalty administration, and reliable sales reporting across the organization. The ideal candidate is proactive, systems-minded, and comfortable juggling multiple work streams while collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Review and verify all expenses; maintain and update cash flow and expense trackers.
Input invoices and process purchase orders
Prepare quarterly journal entries and perform month-end bank reconciliations.
Royalty & Rights Administration
Input and maintain contract terms in the royalty system.
Upload and maintain sales and royalty reports and statements.
Coordinate rights system data and ensure ongoing system accuracy.
Input, distribute, and track sales invoices and receivables.
Manage remainder reports.
Coordinate and maintain sales account portals.
Support sales presentations and reporting needs.
Provide trade show coordination and logistical support.
Client & Internal Support
Provide client support related to sales, rights, and reporting inquiries.
Coordinate across teams to ensure accurate and timely sales, rights, and financial information.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
2+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, sales operations, or royalty administration.
Experience using accounting software; NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of accounting principles, including invoicing, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
Strong proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Experience working with contracts, royalty systems, or rights management platforms preferred.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
Ability to support process improvement initiatives, including automation and reporting enhancement
