Base Salary : $25.00/per hour for verified prospecting and lead qualification activity, plus performance-based bonuses and commission on closed deals
Work model:
1099 Contract (Remote - MA residents preferred)

Job Summary The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a pivotal role in expanding IDE’s impact by identifying and qualifying prospective clients within the rapidly growing electric vehicle fleet management sector. In this role, you will conduct rigorous lead qualification, drive high-volume outreach, and ensure a smooth, informed hand-off to the sales team.
This is a high-visibility, early‑stage opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, is energized by building something meaningful from the ground up and is genuinely passionate about accelerating the transition to renewable, resilient energy solutions. Your work will directly support organizations seeking to modernize their operations, reduce emissions, and strengthen their energy independence.
Essential Job Functions
Execute outbound outreach (calls, emails and automated sequences) to engage potential stakeholders and generate qualified interest
Conduct in-depth research to identify prospective organizations that align with IDE’s business criteria and ideal customer profiles
Schedule high-quality discovery meetings for Account Executives and prepare detailed briefings that outline each prospect’s fleet challenges, operational goals and decision-making context
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach activity, prospect information, and lead status within the company’s CRM (Apollo)
Collaborate closely with internal leadership to review pipeline performance, share market insights, and continuously refine targeting and qualification strategies
Represent IDE with professionalism and credibility in all prospect interactions, clearly communicating the company’s mission, value proposition and commitment to resilient, renewable energy solutions.
Education and Experience
1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or outbound prospecting (SDR/BDR experience strongly preferred)
Experience with the CRM system Apollo, preferred but not required
Foundational knowledge of and genuine interest in renewable energy, sustainability, or related industries (e.g., solar, fleet, EVs, battery storage)
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage prospects using a consultative, credibility-building approach
Proven ability to conduct cold outreach and effectively engage specialized or hard-to-reach targeted audiences
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, early-stage environment with a high degree of ownership
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple outreach streams simultaneously
This is a primarily remote position, with flexibility in schedule and work location
Extended periods of phone-based outreach as part of daily prospecting activities
Occasional local travel or in-person visits, as needed
