Location: Naas, Co Kildare Contract Type: Full time, permanent Work schedule: Monday - Friday office hours, 37.5 hours per week (*flexibility required occasionally) Reporting to: Chief Commercial Officer Closing date: 31st May 2026 About Us Vision Ireland is Irelands leading sight loss charity and one of the countrys largest charity retailers, operating more than 120 stores nationwide. We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Retail Operations Manager to drive operational excellence across our national retail network. Based in Naas and working closely with Regional Managers, Area Managers and key business partners, this role will lead the development and implementation of operational processes, retail standards and strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, support store teams and enhance profitability across the business. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior retail leader with strong operational, change management and stakeholder engagement experience who is passionate about continuous improvement and delivering scalable retail solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and continuous improvement of the retail operating model across the store network. Review and optimise operational processes, policies and procedures to improve efficiency, consistency and compliance. Act as the central operational link between Retail and key support functions. Represent Retail Operations in weekly trade and planning meetings, identifying operational risks, opportunities and priorities. Own and manage the Retail Operations Planner to support effective delivery across stores. Drive operational excellence initiatives that improve productivity, reduce cost and support profitability. Support delivery of the wider Retail Strategy through innovative and scalable operational solutions. Monitor and report on operational compliance and execution standards across the retail estate. Develop strong cross-functional partnerships and Service Level Agreements that support a stores first approach. Build strong relationships with Regional and Store teams through regular engagement and site visits. Manage relationships with external suppliers and operational partners. Support store opening projects and implementation of new retail initiatives. About You - What You Need Senior retail operations or multi-site retail management experience Proven experience implementing operational processes, procedures and best practice across multiple locations Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance operational efficiency and customer experience Experience leading change, driving continuous improvement and delivering operational projects at scale Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capability Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced retail environment Experience facilitating workshops, training or group sessions would be advantageous Previous experience in charity retail or large-scale multi-site retail environments is desirable Further Information for Candidates: All applicants must submit a current CV.
