About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Key Account Manager to join our dynamic team in the cosmetics industry. As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our customer accounts, fostering relationships with key clients, and driving sales growth within the cosmetic sector. Title: Key Account Manager
Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Location: Onsite with one day telecommuting
Salary Range: $90k - $115k, DOE
Reports To: Sales Manager
(Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and business needs, in compliance with California pay transparency requirements.)
Responsibilities:
- Represent The Crme Shop portfolio of beauty brands at key retailers
- Conduct and lead buyer meetings onsite at regular intervals
- Deliver annual volume, trade spend and profit plan
- Ongoing analysis and review of business trends to identify gaps to plan and execution
- Implement the sales strategies per customer in coordination with the sales channel strategy
- Plan and implement the annual appraisals in coordination with the management level
- Negotiate terms and conditions and implement the results
- Make regular headquarter buyer calls, identify customer needs/priorities and create fact-based selling presentations
- Ensure customer maintains a strategic product mix through SKU optimization - both new item sell-in and sell-through
- Ensure customer profitability
- Other duties as assigned per departmental needs.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree; preferably in business, marketing or related field
- 3+ years of experience in account management or sales support in the beauty or CPG industry
- Prior experience with off-price channels (TJX, Ross, Burlington) strongly preferred
- Used to a fast-paced environment with the ability to deliver on key assignments with both internal and external stakeholders
- The ability to travel by car or airplane as needed, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel
- Excellent interpersonal, competitive selling technique, business acumen and organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with a strong team-player mentality
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of sales applications and principles
- Ability to lift up to thirty (30) lbs. periodically, sit at a desk for up to two (2) hours, climb stairs, walk quickly from place to place
- Experience documenting sales orders within ERP or other company systems (SAP experience preferred)
- Additional duties as needed per departmental needs
