This position is responsible for developing referral relationships, generating qualified leads, and serving as a trusted first point of contact for clients and community partners./ppOur clients are often older adults, seniors, adult children, caregivers, and families facing major life changes. These transitions may include downsizing, senior relocation, estate clear-outs, divorce, death of a loved one, hoarding situations, move management, and home preparation for sale. Because of this, the role requires much more than sales ability. It requires empathy, patience, professionalism, and the ability to build trust during highly emotional and sometimes overwhelming seasons of life./ppThis role is essential to the growth of the business and to the experience our clients have from the very beginning. The Business Development Representative helps ensure clients feel seen, understood, and supported during difficult transitions, while also helping build the partnerships that allow our company to grow and serve more people in our community./ppSuccess in this role means not only meeting sales goals, but also becoming a trusted resource for families, caregivers, and referral partners who need guidance during times of change./ph2Key Responsibilities/h2ulliWork within a defined territory to identify, develop, and maintain referral relationships and new business opportunities./liliBuild and strengthen relationships with referral partners who regularly serve older adults and families in transition, including: ullisenior living communities/liliassisted living and memory care professionals/lilisocial workers and case managers/lilihospitals and healthcare providers/lilihome care agencies/liliprobate, estate planning, and elder law attorneys/lilireal estate agents/lilifuneral home professionals/lilicommunity organizations, churches, and other trusted local resources/li/ul/liliConduct outreach through phone calls, email, networking events, in-person meetings, presentations, and local travel./liliEducate referral partners and prospective clients on company services and how those services support families during major life transitions./liliConduct sales consultations and in-home consultations with professionalism, compassion, and confidence./liliDevelop trusted relationships with families navigating sensitive situations such as downsizing, senior moves, estate-related transitions, death of a loved one, divorce, hoarding, and preparing a home for sale./liliGenerate qualified leads, secure contracts, and cultivate long-term referral relationships for continued business growth./liliStay in close contact with existing accounts and leads to create brand awareness, provide education, and encourage repeat referrals./liliManage a weekly schedule that includes outreach, networking meetings, consultations, follow-up, and relationship development activities./liliTravel to active job sites to ensure clients feel informed, comfortable, and supported, and that the team has what is needed to help create a smooth transition./liliIncrease brand awareness in the marketplace by implementing strategic market growth initiatives and business development plans./liliAchieve monthly and quarterly sales and revenue goals based on company expectations and standards./liliProvide comprehensive weekly reporting to the owner on activity, progress, opportunities, and growth efforts./liliSupport and utilize sales and marketing tools including branded materials, social media, sales training resources, webinars, and event-driven campaigns./li/ulh2Qualifications Skills/h2ulliMinimum of 2 years of experience in sales and/or marketing with proven results./liliExperience serving older adults, seniors, aging populations, or families in transition is strongly preferred./liliExperience in relationship-based industries such as senior services, healthcare, community outreach, home services, relocation, estate services, or real estate is highly valued./liliExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly./liliStrong verbal and written communication skills./liliAbility to lead conversations with empathy and professionalism, especially in emotionally sensitive situations./liliMotivated self-starter with strong organization, time management, and follow-through./liliStrong consultative sales skills and an understanding of the sales process./liliAbility to identify opportunities for growth in sales and community partnerships./liliComfortable working independently while staying aligned with company goals and standards./liliProficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook./liliWillingness to travel locally throughout the territory./liliMust be adaptable, organized, and comfortable with a role where no two days are alike./li/ulh2Preferred Personal Attributes/h2ulliCompassionate and mission-driven/liliPatient and professional communicator/liliRelationship-focused and community-minded/liliConfident in both networking and one-on-one consultations/liliSensitive to the needs of elderly clients and families experiencing stress or loss/liliAble to balance business growth with exceptional client care/li/ulh2Benefits/h2ulliFlexible work schedule/liliDirect connection with people in our community/liliOpportunity to make a meaningful difference during important life transitions/liliOpportunity to grow in your role and within the company/liliBase pay plus commission/li/ulh2Physical / Environmental Requirements/h2ulliConstant sitting, listening, and talking/liliAccess to computer with internet/liliFrequent walking and/or standing/liliAbility to travel throughout the assigned territory/liliAbility to conduct in-person meetings, attend networking events, and visit active job sites/li/ul/div
