Apple's Sensing Hardware team is looking for an Electrical Lab Technician to assist with data collection, soldering, and rework. The ideal candidate will be be proficient with basic electrical engineering support\ntasks. They need to be flexible, receptive to ideas from others, team oriented, and willing to work with technologists, engineers and others for continuing to advance technologies.
Proficiency with configuring and operating electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, meters, function generators, power supplies, etc.) and must be able to actively work in a lab environment on new and repetitive tasks.\nSoldering skills: J-STD-001 certification or better (focused on surface-mount microsoldering rework) and have familiarity with basic circuit design, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting techniques.\nAbility to execute consumer electronics device test setup tasks, data collection, and results compilation using scripting and test automation.\n4+ year minimum related experience required
Experience with MacOS computers and digital productivity tools (Numbers/Excel, Keynote, etc.)\nAbility to make revisions and improvements to Python, MATLAB, and bash scripts\nExperience operating metrology & test equipment (Keyence, Instron, robotic systems etc.)\nFamiliarity with board layout design tools such as Cadence Allegro, Altium, or similar\nKnowledge of ESD safe work procedures, and basic chemical hazards (adhesives, solvents, 3D print resin, etc.)\nTechnical degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent
