Assistant General Manager

The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in leadership and supervision of store personnel, inventory tracking and management, achieving key performance metrics and ensuring the efficient daily operations of the store. This role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional customer experience.

Key duties and responsibilities include partnering with the General Manager to plan and implement strategies to drive service standards and positive sales results, maintaining brand standards in visual merchandising, ensuring consistent regulatory compliance with all state specific regulations, reviewing, communicating and ensuring compliance with all company SOPs, providing coaching, training, and development to the team focused on company service standards and accountability to meet specific objectives, monitoring and maintaining store inventory, handling and resolving patient issues and escalations when on duty, maintaining professional working relationships with business partners, managing labor budget to meet the needs of the business, maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance, and performing other tasks that have been assigned by management.

Skills and qualifications include two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience, prior management experience, preferably in retail and/or customer service area, prior cash handling experience, ability to train, develop and evaluate a team of 40+ employees, strong interpersonal skills and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management and staff, ability to uphold a strict level of confidentiality and discretion, ability to communicate in conversational English to work effectively with customers and team members, ability to operate electronic equipment, comprehend safety procedures, and utilize telecommunication devices, proven ability to analyze data and draw appropriate conclusions to inform policies and procedures, and ability to interact with customers and team members respectfully and politely.

Additional minimum qualifications include possession of a valid driver's license and passing an MVR background check (delivery locations only), passing a level 1 and level 2 background check, being at least 21 years of age, functioning independently, having flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies, relating to and working with patrons of different ages, abilities, and patrons that at times are experiencing emotional distress or displaying a hostile attitude, and having visual and auditory acuity with or without aids to perform all functions of the position.

Physical requirements include constantly moving/traversing throughout the entire facility, including tight spaces, accurately communicating and exchanging sensitive information and ideas with others, manipulating objects of varying sizes and weights, remaining in a seated position occasionally, and having visual and auditory acuity with or without aids to perform all functions of the position.

Work schedule is 40-45 hours weekly with flexible hours depending on store needs. Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
